VJS – Vantaan jalkapalloseura is one of the largest football clubs in Finland with approximately 2,000 players and hundreds of other club members such as coaches, managers and volunteers. The club has a long and rich history dating back to 1958 after which the club has grown to become one of the leading football clubs in Finland.

Currently the club offers academy level as well as basic level player development. A large number of its current and former players regularly play for the Finnish national youth teams in girls and boys.

VJS T08 (Girls born 2008) was formed in spring 2014 and the team plays academy/elite level football. The team has been divided into two playing groups (Academy/Basic) and has participated successfully to a number of tournaments in Finland and abroad.

Academy level plays currently against boys’ teams and also participates to year older girls’ tournaments. Recent highlights include the championship in one of the largest tournaments in Europe, Helsinki Cup and third place in the largest football tournament for girls in Europe, Stadi Cup.

The team regularly plays in invitational tournaments also abroad, most recent one being BP Volkswagen Cup 2019 in Stockholm, Sweden arranged by Brommapojkarna.
